Nacho Elvira has claimed his third DP World Tour title with victory at the Dubai Invitational at Dubai Creek Resort. The 38-year-old Spaniard delivered exceptional mental strength during a dramatic final round that saw five players share the lead. Elvira opened with three birdies in his first seven holes to build a three-shot advantage. Successive bogeys at the eighth and ninth allowed Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, Daniel Hillier, and Marcus Armitage to draw level at nine under par. Elvira responded with a crucial birdie at the 17th hole to take a one-shot lead. He secured victory with a composed par at the final hole, demonstrating mental resilience that define elite performance under pressure.

 

Elvira's family, including his children, were present to witness the victory. "It means the world," he said. "It is a dream come true, especially having the family here. I have always dreamed to have my kids walking up to me with a win and anything that happens after this, nothing compares to this."
