ASHUN WU

Despite starting golf at 17 and learning from his single-digit handicapper brother, Ashun became the first Chinese player to win a European Tour event on home soil by winning the 2015 Volvo China Open.

 

He then went on to win the 2016 Lyoness Open and the 2018 KLM Open, becoming the first Chinese player to have three wins on the European Tour.

 

After a three and a half year break, he won his fourth title at the 2022 Magical Kenya Open.

 

As a trailblazer in Chinese golf, he was also the first Chinese player to win on the Japan Golf Tour and then moved on to the Asian Tour.
